Meet Cara
Hi! I’m Cara (she/her), a Registered Physiotherapist, Owner, and Clinical Director at Toronto Pessary Clinic. It’s truly an honor to walk alongside you in your journey to optimize your health, well-being, and function.
During my Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2013, I developed a strong passion for pelvic health. The sensitive nature of this area, combined with the potential to significantly improve quality of life through physical therapy, led me to pursue extensive training in pelvic health, including pessary assessment and fitting. I have served as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant at Pelvic Health Solutions since 2016, where we train healthcare professionals in pelvic health. Additionally, in 2022, colleague Jenny Telfer-Crum and I developed and instruct a comprehensive pessary fitting course offered across North America.
After relocating to Toronto in 2016, I noticed a growing need for healthcare professionals skilled in pessary services. Patients often faced long wait times to see a trained specialist. This inspired me to open Toronto Pessary Clinic in 2018, to provide compassionate, knowledgeable, and accessible care for women seeking conservative management of pelvic conditions like prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.

Meet Jenny
Hello! I’m Jenny (she/her), a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.
I work collaboratively with people experiencing pelvic health concerns like bladder leaking and pelvic organ prolapse so that they can understand their bodies, stop worrying and confidently progress towards their fitness or lifestyle goals. I strive to provide compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed Physiotherapy care that revolves around your goals and fits into your lifestyle.
Throughout my education, I was immediately drawn to pelvic health, completing my entry-level Pelvic Health courses before I had finished my Physiotherapy residency. I continued my post-graduate Pelvic Physiotherapist training, focusing on urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pessary fitting and care, and high intensity exercise throughout the lifespan.
I am really passionate about your health and wellbeing, and am a lifelong learner. Outside of my clinic hours, I tend to be teaching, developing or taking courses related to Pelvic Health and wellness! I have been a Teaching Assistant with Pelvic Health Solutions and Antony Lo since 2018, and in 2022 worked with fellow Pelvic Health Physio Cara McDougall to develop a comprehensive pessary fitting course to help other clinicans learn all about fitting pessaries!
I have always pursued various forms of exercise myself (jogging, bootcamps, spin classes, strength training, CrossFit, Orange Theory). Apart from being a completely average gym goer, I also enjoy singing, dancing, and spending time outdoors with my husband, Sho, and our pets – Mikko the dog and Cadence the cat.
Together we can address your concerns and work towards your goals through exercise, education and empowerment.
