Toronto Pessary Clinic is a private clinic and is not covered under OHIP. Pessary assessment and fitting is billed under “physiotherapy” and is therefore covered by many extended health insurance providers. The cost of the pessary may also be covered by your insurer under “bracing” or “medical device”. You may require a physician’s referral to receive your healthcare benefits; however, you do not need a referral to been seen by our therapists.

If you have the opportunity to see your doctor before your initial assessment with us, please have him or her complete the “Pessary Referral Form for Physician” found by clicking the button above. Your doctor can then fax it directly to Toronto Pessary Clinic (1.855.915.0292) or you can bring the completed form with you to your initial assessment. This form is required in order for you to take your fitted pessary home.

If you are not able to see your doctor before our appointment, don’t worry! We will fax this form to your doctor after your initial appointment with us and you can pick up your pessary (or have it mailed to your home) when we receive the completed form back from your doctor.
